Frequently Asked Questions
1) What is the deadline for the application?
The deadline appears when you start the application process. It may also be listed in the Grad Bulletin.
2) What are the admission requirements and is there any flexibility in these?
These are found in the VCU Graduate Bulletin and on the Departmental Website for MS-ANB. Yes, there is flexibility. All factors within your application, including references will be taken into consideration.
3) I am currently in the certificate program at VCU but considering the MS-ANB, should I reach out to faculty to find a lab in which to do my research before I even apply for the MS-ANB?
Yes! When you begin considering that you would like to apply for the MS-ANB, please explore research of department faculty on this website: Research - Department of Anatomy - VCU School of Medicine. When you find something that interests you, feel free to directly email that faculty member and ask them about doing an observation/rotation in their lab.
4) I did not apply in time or was not accepted for the Fall semester, can I apply for a Spring admittance?
Unfortunately, no. There is no Spring admission for MS-ANB. However, if you have a lab that is allowing you to volunteer, then you can learn the techniques and be prepared for a Summer or Fall application.
5) I am not able to upload my transcripts into the VCU MS-ANB application (or other application issues):
